Richard Greene is the Chief Human Resources Officer of Heidrick & Struggles.  He leads the global HR organization and talent strategy.  Richard is a member of the firm’s Management Committee and Operations Committee, and works closely with the Human Resources & Compensation Committee of the Board of Directors.

Richard’s priorities as CHRO include diversity and inclusion, employee engagement and Consultant performance management. He has led the expansion of the career model to include University hires at the entry level and a Partner Emeritus program for the firm’s most senior and esteemed Partners.

Richard previously managed the firm’s Leadership Consulting and Human Resources practices in the Americas. He has done a significant amount of global work, having recruited, assessed, or coached senior leaders from more than 30 countries across six continents.

Richard’s prior senior management experience includes having been the global head of Talent Management and global HR executive for the two largest business units at Bunge, a nearly 200-year-old, $61-billion agribusiness and food production company with 35,000 employees worldwide. He also served as Chief Operating Officer of the KIPP Foundation, which opens and runs charter schools in underserved communities. KIPP is widely recognized as a model for education reform in the U.S. Earlier in his career, Richard was a Managing Partner and member of the Americas Management Committee at Deloitte Consulting.

Education:

Richard is a past alumni trustee and member of the Alumni Association Board at George Washington University where he earned an MBA with a concentration in organization development and a BA in history with honors.
