Lorraine Hack works in Heidrick & Struggles’ New York office and is a former CFO and a partner in the firm's Technology and Consumer practices where she has placed general management, finance and marketing executives. Lorraine has successfully completed searches with a range of companies: from start-ups and earlier stage companies to large corporations including private equity portfolio companies.
Prior to joining Heidrick & Struggles, Lorraine worked for another executive leadership and search firm, preceded by years as a financial executive in entertainment, media and operations, where she gained experience in property launches, corporate turnarounds and reorganizations. Lorraine also served as CFO of Fathom, the Columbia University for-profit online education venture. Prior to that, she was senior vice president, executive operations, for Sesame Workshop. Before that, she spent a decade at Viacom in various finance positions, including director of corporate finance for Blockbuster, vice president, finance, at VH1; director, financial planning, at MTV, business manager for Ha! The Comedy Network, and business manager for Affiliate Sales and Marketing at corporate MTV Networks. She has held other financial positions at HBO and Paramount Pictures.
Lorraine is a founding board member of W.O.M.E.N. in America, a unique mentoring program led by high-profile women executives; she was named vice chair in 2013. She has also been a member of the Women in Cable and Telecommunications organization for the last fifteen years and served on its board of directors in New York for seven years. Additionally she is a long-time member of Women in Film and Television.
Lorraine received a bachelor’s of science in finance and international business from New York University and an MBA in media and communications from the Fordham University Graduate School of Business Administration.
