Ellen Maag is a partner in Heidrick & Struggles’ Washington D.C. office, where she leads Heidrick Consulting’s Leadership Assessment and Development Center of Excellence in the Americas. She delivers client services across Heidrick & Struggles’ Leadership, Team, and Organization Acceleration platforms.

Experience

Ellen has 25 years of experience working with leaders to build and enhance their individual and collective capability and capacity to deliver on business objectives by helping them align on a shared vision of the future and a concise set of strategic priorities; assess, understand, and develop their leadership strengths and opportunities; and derive more value from their teamwork.

Her expertise includes C-Suite succession, executive leadership and team development, assessment, and coaching, and broader talent management strategy and implementation.

Ellen works across a wide range of industries, focusing on healthcare and life sciences, financial services, consumer, industrial, and energy. Representative client work includes C-suite selection and succession, executive development, assessment, and coaching, and top-team acceleration. Before joining Heidrick & Struggles in 2014, Ellen delivered client work at Navalent, Mercer/Mercer Delta Consulting, and Ernst & Young.

Ellen is currently submitting ICF Professional Coach Certification (600+ hours of coaching). Her credentials and certifications include team coach (Team Accelerator Coaching Program); Kaiser’s Leadership Versatility Index (LVI), Hogan Leadership Forecast Series, Saville Wave Professional Styles, Swift Aptitude, and Heidrick & Struggles’ proprietary instruments such as Leadership, Team, and Organization Acceleration Questionnaires, and Agile Leader Potential.
