Adam Vaughan

Overview

Adam Vaughan is a partner in Heidrick & Struggles' London office and a member of the global Financial Services Practice. He currently leads the Fintech Sector across Europe & Africa. His work in Fintech focuses on executive leadership and non-executive board placements in market infrastructure, exchanges, post-trade and transaction services, payments, financial software, data and information services, and digital and e-commerce platforms.

Experience

Adam also leads functional chief operating, technology, and operations work as well human capital management across the financial services sector. He has played a leading role in establishing and building the firm’s capabilities related to work in data science, analytics, and cyber security. He advises clients across a full range of corporate and investment banking, global markets, consumer financial services, insurance, private equity, asset management, and hedge fund sectors. As part of this portfolio, Adam has successfully placed some of the most notable COO, CIO, CTO, CAO, CDO, CISO and HRD leader appointments in the industry over the last decade.

Prior to his current role, Adam led the Financial Services Infrastructure Practice in EMEA for five years, which included a team functionally covering roles of COO, technology, operations, finance, legal, compliance, risk, audit, human resources, marketing, and communications.

Before joining Heidrick & Struggles, Adam worked for a London-based boutique search firm focused in the financial services technology sector. He gained his earlier consulting experience within the Enterprise Risk Services group at Deloitte & Touche.
