Carlos Eduardo Barros

Overview

Carlos Eduardo Barros is a principal in Heidrick & Struggles’ São Paulo office and a member of the Industrial Practice. With more than 10 years of experience in executive search and talent management projects, Carlos specializes in C-suite engagements for local and multinational companies, with a particular focus on the automotive, agribusiness, capital goods, energy, chemicals, packaging, and building materials sectors. He also has expertise in supply chain and operations as well as corporate affairs, government affairs, communication, and corporate social responsibility roles.

Experience

Prior to joining Heidrick Struggles in 2020, Carlos spent several years at another global executive search firm as a senior consultant and a member of the global industrial market. He was also a partner with one of the leading Brazilian executive search firms. From 2011 to 2013, he was a partner with 2GET, a local executive search firm in Brazil, which was acquired by Heidrick & Struggles in 2019.

Carlos started his career at the American Chamber of Commerce for Brazil, where he was responsible for membership sales and customer relationships in São Paulo, Goiania, and Brasilia. He is fluent in both English and Spanish.
