Michelle Dunne is a partner in Heidrick & Struggles’ Sydney office and a member of the Financial Services Practice, focusing on key leadership appointments in financial services across Asia Pacific.
With over 20 years of international experience in executive search, Michelle has advised a broad spectrum of clients from listed global and multinational corporations to privately held international and regional businesses.
Prior to joining Heidrick & Struggles, Michelle worked in the CFO and finance leadership practice at another global executive search firm in Sydney. Before relocating to Australia, Michelle founded an independent executive search consultancy in London that specialized in senior C-suite as well as board appointments. Her early career was spent at two separate UK publicly held firms where she built strong leadership teams for clients in banking, investment and wealth management, insurance, real estate, private equity as well as placing key functional executive roles in financial and professional services.
Michelle regularly participates in discussion forums and panels on the subject of building board and executive leadership, as well as discussing the case for, and the complexities in achieving, parity at the board table and in the C-suite.
Michelle holds an MSc in gender, development, and globalization from the London School of Economics and Political Science, and a BSc with honors in psychology from Birkbeck, University of London, England.
