Immo Futterlieb is a partner in Heidrick & Struggles’ Munich office and a member of the global Industrial Practice and Energy Infrastructure & Sustainability sector. Additionally, he co-leads the global Internet of Things Practice.
With more than fifteen years of experience, Immo focuses on digital transformation within public, private equity sponsored, and family-owned enterprises. He has successfully recruited chief innovation officers, chief transformation officers and chief digital officers. Immo specializes in creating executive and non-executive teams across sectors including utilities, alternative energy, energy efficiency, and cleantech, B2B digital, and industrial technology.
Immo was with another global executive search firm before re-joining Heidrick & Struggles in 2013, having begun his professional career with Heidrick & Struggles more than sixteen years ago. He spent three years in the firm´s Menlo Park office (Silicon Valley) before returning to Munich, where he was lead for the Energy & Sustainability sector in EMEA.
He is fluent in German and English.
Immo holds a master's degree in history and political science from the University of Trier, Germany, and studied economics at the University of Lund, Sweden.
