Hunter Hohlt is a principal in Heidrick & Struggles’ Washington, D.C. office and is a core member of the Aviation, Aerospace, and Defense Practice. Hunter specializes in executive recruiting for manufacturing and services companies in the aerospace, and defense industry. His clients include global conglomerates, middle market companies, private equity, and joint ventures.
Prior to joining Heidrick & Struggles, Hunter was with the aerospace and defense practice at PwC Strategy and Booz & Company. There, he led corporate strategy, inorganic growth, operating model, and cost transformation campaigns for large prime system integrators, specialized component manufacturers, and service providers. Hunter is a recognized expert, public speaker, and author of several articles on activist investor engagement, capability-driven strategy, and digital disruption in the aerospace and defense industry.
Hunter understands the unique functional and management requirements for senior executives operating in highly regulated markets. He also understands the different leadership capabilities needed to succeed in public, private , joint venture, and alliance ownership models. Hunter previously worked at Booz Allen Hamilton and the boutique aerospace and defense firm, Renaissance Strategic Advisors, where he worked closely with companies in satellite and network communications and USG services.
Hunter received his bachelor’s degree in government and history from Connecticut College, and an MBA in finance from the Carroll School of Management at Boston College.
