Based in Heidrick & Struggles’ Houston office, Mark Livingston is the global managing partner of the firm's Natural Resources sector covering oil & gas, chemicals, metals & mining, agribusiness, forestry & pulp, and biofuels. Mark has spent the last decade plus focusing on C-suite and board searches and leadership advisory engagements, and serves within the Chief Executive Officer & Board of Directors, Private Equity, Venture Capital and Financial Officers practices.

Prior to joining Heidrick & Struggles, Mark spent nearly 14 years working in a variety of finance and purchasing roles, most recently as regional finance manager, Americas manufacturing.  responsible for the financial functions of nine U.S. and Latin American refineries for Royal Dutch Shell PLC.  Mark began his career working for PPG Industries, a leading chemical and coatings manufacturer.

Mark was inducted into the Top Fundraiser Hall of Fame by the National Multiple Sclerosis Society’s Lone Star Chapter as part of the annual Houston-Austin BP MS150 charity ride. He is fluent in German and has a working knowledge of Portuguese.


Mark holds an international MBA in finance from the Moore School of Business at the University of South Carolina. He also holds bachelor of arts degrees in history and international relations from the University of Maine.
