Beat Welti is a principal in Heidrick & Struggles’ Zurich office and a member of the Global Consumer Practice. He specializes in executive search assignments in the fast moving consumer goods (FMCG) and retail sectors. He focuses on c-suite executive positions for the omnichannel business to consumer (B2C) and business to business (B2B) companies in Switzerland and abroad.

Beat has nearly two decades of experience as CEO and line manager. Prior to Heidrick & Struggles, he was CEO of Bischofszell Nahrungsmittel, part of Migros, the largest Swiss retail company. Previously, he was the CEO of Unilever subsidiary Oswald and the renowned international wine house Schuler St. Jakobs Kellerei for several years. As CEO, he was responsible for national and international corporations, mid-sized companies and owner-managed companies in turnaround, consolidation, and growth phases. He began his international career in various management positions in marketing and sales at Lindt & Sprüngli and Mars.

Beat is a member of the board of CPM (Omnicom Group), a Swiss-based global marketing and sales agency, and is a past board member of the Swiss Food Industry Association (fial).

Education:

Beat earned an executive MBA HSG from the University of St. Gallen. He studied in England, France, and Spain before graduating from the Zurich University of Applied Sciences (zhaw). He is fluent in German, English, French and Spanish.
