Mark Zorbas is a principal in Heidrick & Struggles’ Houston office and a member of Heidrick Consulting. He has 20 years of experience building organizational capability and shaping culture, across different sectors and geographies. Mark partners with client teams on organization-critical issues such as setting values-based vision and strategies; accelerating the performance of executive leaders and teams; shaping culture and implementing business transformation and change.
A trusted advisor and business partner to senior executives, Mark has a strong record of implementing impactful leader, team, and culture strategies across diverse organizations. His industry expertise spans the financial services, oil & gas, mining, energy infrastructure & technology, and education sectors.
Prior to joining Heidrick & Struggles, Mark spent the majority of his career as a member of senior leadership teams with responsibility for all aspects of organizational effectiveness and talent. Most recently, Mark was the senior vice president and chief human resources officer at Chicago Bridge and Iron (CB&I), a global energy infrastructure and technology company with more than 40,000 employees. He joined CB&I as the director of organizational development and talent (OD&T) for the global oil and gas business, based in Australia, and later was appointed vice president of OD&T, relocating to Texas.
Mark has lectured on business and management at Central Institute of Technology in Australia, and as an adjunct lecturer at the University of Notre Dame.
Mark earned a master’s degree in educational psychology, a postgraduate diploma in business education, a bachelor’s degree in business management, and is accredited in a number of psychometric and leadership assessment tools.
