Overview
Eric Joseph is a partner in Heidrick & Struggles' Washington, D.C. office and leads Heidrick Consulting in North America. He is a member of the global CEO & Board Practice, focusing on CEO and board succession projects for clients in business services and technology. As a member of the Social Impact Practice, Eric supports nonprofit boards, including foundations, associations, and NGOs, through CEO transitions.
Experience
Previously, Eric held key leadership roles for the firm, including partner in charge of the Washington D.C. office, managing partner of the global Technology Services Practice, and managing partner of the Education Nonprofit & Social Enterprise Practice.
Eric leads various engagements, including chief executive officer, board of directors, and senior executive search assignments for some of the firm’s most strategic global clients. In addition to his technology industry experience and work in the nonprofit sectors, Eric has extensive experience helping top private equity firms build management teams for emerging private and public companies.
Prior to joining Heidrick & Struggles, Eric spent ten years in management consulting, specializing in assisting clients with change management and transformation initiatives.

Philanthropy and Service
Eric serves on the board of the Washington, D.C. chapter of the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation and is the co-chair of the advisory board of JTCC (College Park, Maryland), one of the premier regional training centers of the United States Tennis Association (USTA). Eric also served on the board of trustees at Green Hedges School (Vienna, Virginia) for six years.
