Ron Lumbra is a partner in Heidrick & Struggles’ New York office and a member of the CEO & Board of Directors Practice. Previously, Ron was the managing partner of the America’s region and Centers of Excellence.

Experience

Ron has 25 years of executive search consulting experience recruiting board directors and chief executive officers for various client organizations. He advises on corporate governance matters and recruits diverse talent to build corporate boards of directors.

In June 2019, Ron was invited to testify in front of the U.S. House Committee on Financial Services on Diversity in the Boardroom: Examining Proposals to Increase the Diversity of America’s Boards.

Before joining Heidrick & Struggles, Ron spent 17 years with a global search firm as managing director and co-leader of the Americas CEO and board services practice. There, he served in various leadership roles, including co-head of the firm’s Americas operations and head of the New York and Houston offices.

Philanthropy and Service

Ron chairs the board of trustees for the University of Vermont. He also serves on the board of Prospector Capital Corp. and as a board director at CCS Fundraising.

Ron previously served as the board chair of KaBOOM!, a national nonprofit dedicated to creating play spaces for children. He is a member of the Executive Leadership Counsil.
