Stephen McAlinden is a partner in Heidrick & Struggles’ Hong Kong office and the regional leader for Heidrick & Struggles’ Asia Pacific and the Middle East. He leads a team of more than 300 professionals delivering executive search and leadership consulting services in 14 offices across Asia Pacific. He is a member of the Financial Services Practice focusing on Asian corporate and investment banking.
Experience
Stephen is a trusted leadership advisor in the financial services industry. With more than 25 years of experience in leadership search, he has successfully placed top individuals at all levels of senior management within investment banks, securities firms, asset management companies, commercial banks, and other financial institutions. He joined Heidrick & Struggles in 2009 and was named partner-in-charge of the Hong Kong office in 2013.
Previously, Stephen co-founded Eban International Limited, a leading financial services specialist executive search firm, advising equities, investment banking, derivatives, and fixed income clients. Prior to Eban, Stephen spent six years in London and Hong Kong with Stephens Associates, a financial services executive search firm, with responsibility for the US, Japanese, Asian, and emerging markets equity and corporate and investment banking markets.
