Culture in the healthcare sector: An interview with Peggy Troy, CEO of Children’s Wisconsin
In this interview, Peggy Troy, the president and CEO of Children’s Wisconsin, an independent children’s hospital, shares the story of the cultural transformation she led when she became CEO. As a strong advocate for culture, she discusses why it’s so important and what made her realize that the organization’s culture needed a change. She also talks about the importance of taking an organized approach to defining organizational values so they can be used as a framework to embed the culture within the organization’s strategy, and what she did in particular to engage the physicians and other medical practitioners in the cultural transformation.
