Sunny Ackerman is a partner in Heidrick & Struggles’ Los Angeles office and the global managing partner of On-Demand Talent, leading on-demand solutions worldwide. With over 25 years of operational and leadership experience, she is a trusted strategist and a global human capital industry.
Experience
Sunny has consistently used innovative ideas and technology to streamline operations, drive change, and promote sustainable growth. As the leader of Heidrick & Struggles’ On-Demand business, she leverages her finance, operations, and digital transformation expertise to help execute the firm’s global growth strategies.
Before joining Heidrick & Struggles, Sunny was divisional CEO and president at SThree. This global talent firm specializes in engineering and IT skills for banking, finance, life sciences, technology, and energy industries. SThree is the largest publicly traded recruitment firm focused on the STEM sector and a FTSE 250 company based in London. In this role, she led key global initiatives that improved profitability and managed thousands of employees through a significant organizational redesign.
Previously, Sunny was CEO and president of the Americas for Frank Recruitment Group, a global technology recruitment business. She played a key role in expanding the company in the Americas, developed and executed corporate strategies, and led a team of 800+ to solve complex business challenges in technology recruitment. Sunny also spent 15 years in various executive leadership roles at ManpowerGroup, including senior vice president and general manager, where she led North America's largest business unit with 2,000 employees and $1.5 billion in revenue.
