Overview
Paul Charles is a partner in Heidrick & Struggles’ San Francisco office, and is a member of the Global Financial Services and Technology practices. With approximately two decades of experience, he specializes in senior leadership searches and advisory work across asset & wealth management, private equity, private credit and venture capital. Functionally, he has significant experience executing sales, marketing, investment, operations, legal, compliance, finance, CEO & Board work across North America.
Experience
Paul is also a key member of the firm’s Legal, Risk and Compliance practice, conducting general counsel, deputy general counsel and chief compliance officer searches for clients across a variety of sectors, including financial services and technology.
Prior to joining Heidrick & Struggles in 2007, Paul was a senior recruiter for a leading boutique search firm in Northern California. Formerly, in London, he worked for Major Lindsey & Africa as head of their international financial services practice.
Earlier in his career, Paul also worked as a senior consultant with Longbridge International, focusing on search assignments and team build-outs for leading investment banks and asset managers.
