Hnn-Hui Hii is a partner in Heidrick & Struggles’ Singapore office and a member of the Industrial and Technology practices. He leads the CEO & Board of Directors Practice in Southeast Asia. Hnn-Hui provides advisory services on leadership challenges, team effectiveness, and board reviews serving clients in energy and cleantech, private capital, and family-owned businesses in APAC.

Experience

Hnn-Hui has placed CEOs, CXOs, and INEDs with companies operating in Asia that are facing the transformation imperative.

In leadership consulting, Hnn-Hui is regularly engaged for his expertise on Asian talent within industrial, tech, and family businesses. He has extensive experience in assessment and development of senior executives for CEO and CXO succession planning, talent pipeline, and career pathing. He has assessed more than 200 senior executives since 2008.

Hnn-Hui regularly provides human capital due diligence for private equity clients to advise on top management team quality and team effectiveness. He is engaged in pre-deal situations and post-deal integration work.

Prior to Heidrick& Struggles, Hnn-Hui led a management consulting firm providing advisory services on development of solar farm, waste to energy, and sustainability projects in Malaysia, Singapore, Indonesia, and Vietnam.

He has also worked with a global executive search firm as a principal in the energy and cleantech sectors and with a bespoke strategy consulting firm founded by an ex-McKinsey team, serving clients on transformation initiatives in Southeast Asia. He started his career as a process engineer with Motorola, Inc.

Hnn-Hui is fluent in English, Mandarin, Cantonese, Hokkien, Hakka, and Malay.
