Overview

Neysa Harilal is a partner in Heidrick & Struggles’ Johannesburg office and a member of the Financial Services Practice in sub-Saharan Africa and the Heidrick Consulting team. Her work is closely linked with her purpose to play a role in unlocking leadership and business potential on the African continent.

Experience

Neysa has over 15 years of experience across varying functions within strategy consulting and corporate strategy in financial services. Prior to joining Heidrick & Struggles, she worked in consulting, supporting financial services clients with board searches, CEO succession, and leadership assessment and development. Neysa led the largest assessment project for one of Africa’s biggest banks and partnered with clients to build new business capabilities, seeking unique talent.

Before that, Neysa was in a strategy executive role, anchoring her conversations with clients in understanding their strategy and enabling the execution of that strategy through leadership advisory. Before that, she played a key role in expanding one of South Africa’s largest insurance and asset management firms into new markets on the African continent.

Neysa began her career with Accenture, consulting on operating model design.
