Overview
Melody Jones is Heidrick & Struggles’ interim chief human resources officer, based in the Atlanta office. In this capacity, Melody oversees the firm’s global talent strategy and processes and plays a key role in hiring and onboarding the next chief HR officer.
Experience
As an independent board director and founder of 32-80 Advisers, Melody leverages her background as a former C-level operating executive with 35 years of experience at global public companies to advise and coach CEOs and other C-suite professionals.
Melody currently serves on the boards of Virtus Investment Partners (NYSE: VRTS) as chair of the Compensation Committee and a member of the Governance Committee; YPTC, a provider of fractional accounting services to the non-profit industry; CEATI, a provider of technology solutions to power utility customers through the development and sharing of industry best practices; and Fount Global, a technology-enabled employee experience analytics and solutions company.
She also serves on the board of advisors of Pamlico Capital Management. This private equity firm invests in middle-market companies primarily in the business and technology, healthcare, and communications sectors. Additionally, she serves on the board of advisors of ExecOnline, which partners with top-tier universities to provide leadership development solutions that drive organizational impact.
Until mid-2017, Melody was the chief administrative officer of CEB, Inc., a best practice insights and technology company with a mission to develop innovative solutions that enhance corporate performance. She had direct responsibility for technology, legal, human resources, diversity and inclusion, communications, customer events, citizenship, and new product development. Before CEB, Melody had global executive leadership and operating positions at T. Rowe Price, Aon, ODI, and Citicorp Mortgage, Inc.
Melody is NACD directorship-certified and a NACD Board Leadership Fellow. In 2017, she received certification in cybersecurity oversight from NACD in conjunction with Carnegie Mellon.
