Overview
Andrew (Andy) MacLeod is a partner in Heidrick & Struggles’ London office and a member of the Healthcare & Life Sciences and the CEO & Board of Directors practices.
Experience
Andy has deep knowledge of the healthcare and life sciences environment, reflected in substantial experience of executive search and advisory projects across the full functional spectrum from research and development, through medical to commercial leadership. He also has a special interest advising on innovation and scientific leadership particularly related to chief science officer and chief medical officer appointments.
Andy has more than 30 years’ experience in healthcare, with 20 years in executive search, and focuses on CEO and senior executive advisory work, together with non-executive board searches across pharmaceuticals, biotechnology, medical technology, and diagnostics, as well as consumer health and the associated services sector.
Prior to joining Heidrick & Struggles, Andy was managing director of an international specialist life sciences search firm. He began his executive search career with a boutique specialist healthcare search firm in London. Andy began his career in the pharmaceutical industry, initially with Glaxo where he worked in global R&D, and then with Procter & Gamble working in consumer health.
