Tom Moran is a partner in Heidrick & Struggles’ Chicago office. He has more than 25 years of senior executive search experience in domestic and global insurance, reinsurance, benefits, human capital, financial services, leadership assessment, board assignments, and private equity.
Experience
Tom conducts searches for board members, CEOs, and all C-suite roles across North America, Europe, the Pacific Rim, and Latin America. His clients include Fortune 500 corporations, particularly within the insurance and financial services sectors. Tom also assists CEOs and boards with succession planning, collaborating with board members and senior management to provide strategic guidance on talent acquisition and executive leadership at the highest levels.
Tom is frequently asked to conduct management assessments, speak at industry and corporate conferences, serve on insurance association committees, and contribute his insights to industry-leading publications such as A.M. Best. He has spoken at prominent events, including InsurTech Insights, where he shared his expertise on leadership, talent management, and the evolving landscape of the insurance and financial services industries.
Tom began his career in executive search at the largest boutique search firm in Chicago. He taught and trained specialized classes in Dublin, Ireland, early in his career.
