Overview
Michael Nieset is a partner in Heidrick & Struggles’ Boston office and a member of the CEO & Board of Directors Practice. He leads CEO and board director searches for technology and tech-enabled clients and many of the firm’s global client relationships.
Experience
Michael leads CEO, CEO succession, and board director searches across technology, including AI, data and analytics, enterprise SaaS, FinTech, and industrial technologies, including advanced manufacturing, 3D printing, and robotics. His experience spans growth equity, private equity, and publicly listed clients.
Michael has had leadership roles in the firm, including managing partner of the Software Practice and Americas Leader for the Global Technology Practice.
Michael regularly contributes to discussions on corporate governance and succession planning. He is a guest lecturer at MIT’s Sloan School of Management, Northeastern University’s Institute for Experiential AI, and The Ohio State University’s Fisher College of Business.
