Overview
Sebastian Walter is a partner in Heidrick & Struggles’ Düsseldorf office and global leader of the Asset & Wealth Management sector, leading the real estate, asset management, wealth management, private capital, hedge funds, infrastructure and all other alternative investment asset classes worldwide. He also oversees the real estate and real estate private equity divisions in Germany, Austria, and Switzerland.
Experience
Sebastian has profound expertise working on mandates along the entire value chain of the real estate business as well as private equity. He has a unique track record, market knowledge, and reputation filling highly prestigious positions at the management board and supervisory board level.
Previously, Sebastian acquired extensive knowledge in executive search at Heidrick & Struggles in Beijing, Hamburg, and Munich. Before returning to Heidrick & Struggles, he worked for another large global search firm with a special focus on digital.
He is co-author of the book “Führungsperspektiven: Denkanstöße für verantwortliches Handeln,” which discusses innovative leadership styles.
