Liz Zessman is a partner in Heidrick & Struggles’ New York and Chicago offices and a member of the global Financial Services, CEO & Board of Directors, and Legal, Risk, Compliance & Government Affairs practices.
Experience
Liz’s expertise includes senior-level search and advisory, executive assessment, succession planning, and organizational design.
Her early experience at another global executive search firm focused on legal, compliance, and audit functions. Liz partnered with clients across diverse industries, including life sciences, aerospace and defense, energy, higher education, financial services, non-profit, and the public sector.
Before her career in executive search, Liz practiced law and was admitted to the New York and Connecticut state bars. Her practice emphasized civil litigation.

Philanthropy and Service
While in law school, Liz was co-president of the Cardozo Chapter of the Unemployment Action Center and vice president of Cardozo’s Business Law Society.
Liz serves on the Leadership Council of Americares. She is a member of the Greenwich Economic Forum.
