Asian leaders’ perspectives: An interview with Jai Shankar Krishnan, president at the Danaher Corporation
In this next installment in our Asian leaders’ perspectives series, Heidrick & Struggles’ Suresh Raina speaks to Jai Shankar Krishnan, president, of high-growth markets, at the Danaher Corporation, a Fortune 500 science and technology conglomerate company. Krishnan is a member of the organization’s corporate global leadership team and is responsible for the key markets that include Japan, Korea, Eastern Europe, Latin America, North Africa, Turkey, Southeast Asia, Australia, and New Zealand.
Krishnan and Raina discuss digital tools and all the technology that is being immersed into day-to-day working processes and how the manufacturing industry will embrace Industry 4.0—integration of automation technologies, digital cloud, and so on. Krishnan offers insights into how leaders can prevent creativity from turning into chaos, prevent groupthink and indecision, and manage acquisitions and integrations. Finally, he shares his thoughts on leadership and building high-performing teams in a crisis situation such as a global pandemic.
